“Walking on sunshine!”

Sunflowers from beginning to end.

Up close with so many different sunflowers. Most were covered with bees and bugs.

The field was bursting with yellow.

Bringing in the stash. I spent a Sunday morning in late May north of Tampa at Sweetfield Farms. In the spring, they have a sunflower maze and activities during the sunflower season. The fields were full of sunflowers, all blooming. This guy cuts fresh sunflowers all day so you can buy and bring them home. With farm animals and lots of outdoor activities, it was a fun way to spend a morning. Brought some just picked vegetables home to cook that night.

Sunny day in the sunflower field

I found a new place!  For a limited time in April and May, Sweetfields Farm has a sunflower maze. The farm also has, surprise, farm animals! And vegetables and other flowers but the big draw is the fields of sunflowers.  Brett and I drove north of the Tampa airport on a Sunday morning. It took us about 35 minutes to get to the farm so we were there right before they opened. We did the sunflower maze first thing and I’m glad we did because the heat started to set in and I probably would not have wanted to walk through there near lunchtime. We had a great morning and I took tons of pictures. The above was taken with my phone as we were parking.

The last picture is a pano I took with my phone. We were right in the middle of the maze at a dead-end.
