The butterfly garden at Wall Springs Park was in full bloom in late April.
I only saw one butterfly though.
A squirrel was posing for me (he was probably checking to see if I had snacks).
I walked past the natural spring (you can no longer swim in it).
Many of the trees were still bare from the hurricanes in late 2024. I’m not sure if these will grow back.
A climb up to the top of the tower is always fun. I take the stairs up and the ramp down.

The only bird I saw this morning was a Cooper’s Hawk high up in the pine tree. I was wishing I had my camera. He preened for a few minutes and then took off.

I’m convinced creatures, such as butterflies, have learned to recognize a camera and they are all apparently in some sort of witness protection program and immediately go into hiding until we leave. They then hire critters such as a cute squirrel to divert our attention.
I have no proof of the above, but it makes sense. To me. 🙂

Pity there weren’t more butterflies around but the flowers looked beautiful.
