I’ve been seeing the purple gallinules on a regular basis in the same spot. The one with the tan face is a juvenile, not yet fully purple. Probably born last spring.

    Beautiful, wonderful photos!
    They may be ‘usual’ to you, but most of them are birds I have not seen in the wild. (I have seen Egrets and Green Herons here in North Mississippi)
