The usual titmouse were all over the park.
Cardinal families were all over the park. Lots of very young ones born this spring. The young ones look scruffy with their adult feathers coming in.
There were also Carolina wrens everywhere.
The best find was the great crested flycatcher families. I saw two different ones at opposite ends of the park. Ā Both had juveniles that didn’t quite have their adult feathers in. I don’t see these often. They stayed high up in the trees and don’t get close to look for a handout like the resident birds do.
Wonderful nature closeups, I saw a cardinal yesterday, they seem so above it all no pun intended. That photo with the insect in the beak and on the head, wowsa.
Beautiful collection of photos !!

Cute shots! I think the titmouse shots are especially nice.

Wow, love this collection of birds. Each time I thought I found my favorite, I scrolled down a bit more and find a new favorite.

Such cute little birds with wonderful names. I especially loved the titmouse, such an expressive face. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
I love the sticky up hair on some of these birds.
Lots of scruffy cardinal babies here, too. Thanks to you I see what they look like close up!
Great captures of the usual suspects! Those flycatchers are a real gem! Titmice are one of my favorites! and scruffy babies are always fun to watch. Have a wonder-filled week.
Ahhh, you captured your birds at the park. Well done. The third shot is stunning. Great DOF.
