The baby skimmers at the nearby beach are getting big. It’s hard to believe these guys are only a few months old. As they get bigger, they get braver and start to venture out around the beach on their own. They spend more time in the water and are napping away from their parents. No more running and hiding under Mom.

They grow up so fast! The very first time I ever saw a skimmer it was lying out flat like that first one and I thought something was wrong with it!
