The aspen trees were in full yellow during our quick walk in Mueller State Park in late September. It was one of the few times we saw the sun during our week in Colorado so that made it even more pretty.
On our drive back to Colorado Spring, we could see the drizzle started to appear the closer we got back to our hotel.
All above were taken on the road to Cripple Creek. Once you pass the city of Divide, you start driving around the other side of Pikes Peak and getting in the mountains were the aspen trees had all turned yellow. It’s a long winding road but there were many sections were you could pull off and take pictures. I think we stopped at every one.
