A rainbow of leaves

I found all of the colors of the rainbow while hiking the area behind our hotel in Park City. The trails that zigzag across from one ski slope to another were full of leaves changing colors. Yellow, red and orange were the usual colors to see in fall but many of the bushes were changing to pink. It was amazing to see so many different colors in one place.

Blooming at Fort Desoto on Thanksgiving eve

I stopped by Fort Desoto to look for a bird (yes, looking for another bird I couldn’t find). It was already late November and we have already had a few cold spells. I don’t think the plant life at the park knew that. Even though we’ve had some cooler days, the sun has been bright and warm. The yellow beach daisies were still out in full force. A few butterflies were still fluttering around although in much fewer numbers. It was a beautiful walk until it got dark, windy and cold. Time to go home and put on the flannel jammies (hey, it was a low of 45 degrees).
