You can always find a carolina wren at the nature center.

I made a new friend sitting on the boardwalk waiting for the hummingbirds to show up.

You see lots of interesting things waiting around for a hummingbird to show up. The firebushes around the nature center at Lettuce Lake Park usually has them buzzing around this time of year.  After an hour, I had only seen 2 of them quickly going by and I only got blurry pictures. It was just too hot in August to sit around any longer so I went home for lunch.
