More shots of the cattle egret at Gatorland in early May. I couldn’t stop taking pictures of them. They are so animated with those bright colors on their faces.
The one above has lost most of his breeding colors. This is what they look like the rest of the year when they are not mating and nesting.
Wow, they are certainly gorgeous birds! I can see why you have lots of photos of them with their delicate details.

I have seen only a few Cattle Egrets, and they were not in their breeding plumage.
