This squirrel showed up with a big piece of bread. I don’t know whether someone gave it to him or he stole it. He carried it to the top of the palm tree, sniffed it a few times and left it there after one bite. I guess he knows what’s bad for him.
I found this weird yellow fungus growing on a cypress tree knee.
Into the sun.
Tiny gators under the boardwalk.
Cute dog staring at me.
Pretty but still creepy.
Looking up from the boardwalk, the trees are all covered in moss.
Looking down at the boardwalk with the sun coming through the trees.
A few things on my walk around Chesnut Park in December.
I love the little gators.
Interesting, that squirrel behavior. So restrained!

I’m sure the local birds made good use of the Squirrel leaving the bread up there for them. Cute little Gators but I’d be worried where Big Momma Gator was
Weird yellow fungus, tiny crocodiles, moss dripping from tall, tall trees…ain’t nature grand! Wonderful post!
Wonderful compositions and discoveries Dina. Thanks so much for sharing the love up-close with I Heart Macro… Happy New Year!
