Crazy young mockingbird.
Great blue heron soaking up the morning sun.
A moorhen taking a bath.
A white ibis high up in a tree.
Wild parrots are common at the Largo Nature Preserve.
A very young little blue heron coming in for a landing. He was a little unsteady on his feet.
Just a few things I saw on my Saturday morning walk at Largo Nature Preserve.
great photos…I would go there everyday if I lived nearby
Pictures as beautifully breathtaking as ever, . But yeah a couple of your subjects here do look a little crazed … That mockingbird! And the ibis looking like he can’t remember what mom taught him about stopping! So cute. Missing Florida birds ))
Yikes, Did I really say Ibis? I meant heron … Combined two thoughts )) I do still remember the difference )))
That mockingbird does look rather crazy.
I’m surprised to see the coloration of the young blue heron. I didn’t realize they were white!

Great captures! I love the parrot and the juvie little blue. Have a happy day!
It’s amazing how such a gangly bird manages to land in trees like that. Our nearly heronry fascinates me.
Great action shots, love the expression in your photos…Such great fun to review.
