Since Chesnut Park was void of birds in late March, I spent some time walking the far back boardwalk and hanging out with a deer family. I saw the buck and kept my distance. I rarely see bucks here in this park. A ranger once told me they come down to this park from other reserves a little farther north during mating season. Hopefully, I’ll see some little spotted fawns this summer.
She stuck her tongue out at you! How funny!

What beautiful deer! Love that impressive buck! Hope you do see some fawns this spring & summer!
