Same ole birds at the “Bar”.

Purple gallinule giving me the eye. They have been very entertaining this past month.

Tricolored heron standing at attention.

One of the hundreds of black bellied whistling ducks.

Fly over.

Pretty grebe posing for me.

Another one showing me his fish.

This one is not so lucky. He’s got netting caught around his beak. There are two grebes with netting stuck on them at the park. Several attempts have been made to catch them to get the netting off but those grebes are just too fast and can dive too deep. They still seem to be eating but everyone is afraid they’ll get stuck on something.

Blue heron eating a green frog.

Green heron staring at me.

  1. Absolutely beautiful photos! I feel so bad about the Grebes and hope that they can be helped soon. This is one of my favorite photo blog stops. Thank you so much for sharing, and Happy New Year. Hugs, Edna B.
